The World’s Largest Drive-In Theater Coming Soon to Florida

Romantic, cozy, and a total throwback, drive-in theaters are a great way to shake up movie night and can even encourage social distancing while having fun. 

 

Lighthouse 5 will open as the world’s largest drive-in movie theater in Eustis, FL once construction is finished. This amazing theater will open in Eustis, FL and feature 5 different screens, on-site restaurants, shopping centers, and even campsites.

 

On Lighthouse 5’s Facebook Page, they shared that 2-3 screens will be dedicated to new Hollywood releases, 1-2 screens for throwback films, and one screen for indie films. This five-screen theater will sit on 72-acres on County Road 44 in Eustis. 

 

“We want this to be fully encompassing, where people come and spend money in Eustis and that it improves the economic value in the north end, not only for my property but also all the properties all around,” Spencer Folmar shared, who’s managing this project. “I believe that this will be a sincere boost to Eustis and I want to build this project here.”

 

The Lighthouse 5 will be built in phases with the first phase focusing on the five-screen drive-in. Phase 2 would include the camping and RV grounds while phase 3 will focus on restaurants, retail stores, and more.

 

This new development in Eustis is a blend of nostalgic entertainment and modern convenience. An opening date hasn't been announced yet but stayed tuned for further updates!

Eustis is a relatively quiet lakefront town located in Lake County, FL. Residents get the peaceful daily experience of being near or in nature, while still enjoying easy access to important amenities such as hospitals and airports.
